Fishies & Chipies

Pics from yesterday’s Fish’n'Chips lunch are now up in the Gallery under Lunch Pics. Great to see some new faces – and hope everyone enjoyed their UK traditional fare of tasty battered fish, chunky fries and mushy peas! Yesterday we also got our first viewing of the 3 pieces of graffiti art which have been created by famous local graffiti artist especially for our WOW fair! These pieces will be silent auctioned off on Sunday along with the stunning WOW quilt :)

May Breakfast Pics!!

Here are the pictures for this months breakfast – check the breakfast pictures in the Gallery ! This Thursday we got to see the (almost) final version of the WOW-quilt and as the annual Fun Fair is approaching very fast, a little reminder for our silent auction! Lexi and the WOW ladies did an awesome job – so let’s heat up the bidding a little bit and send in your propositions! :-)

Coffee Chat

Don’t forget that our next Coffee Chat is on Monday, May 6th. No invites will be sent out, and no RSVPs are necessary. If you find you have time to pop along – just show up outside Costa at Wuhan Tiandi at 2pm. Gosia will again be there to meet you :)

April Brunch Pics

Well, not soo many people around for this month’s brunch at the Westin! But even with the few survivors which didn’t have to work we had a fabulous time! Let’s hope in June (no brunch in May because of the annual fun fair!) we will rock the Westin with a big crowd ;-) Check out the few pictures in the Gallery !!

Fun in the Sun

Sunday the Women of Wuhan were invited to join the Family Circle for an introductory picnic at Jiefang Park.  Family Circle is a group of local parents who have organized themselves to provide their children with fun, educational, and cultural activities.  Although the weather has been unpredictable, the rain held off and we were able to enjoy a lovely picnic.  The children had a blast running around in the fresh air, while the parents chatted and introduced themselves.  We look forward to many more activities with the Family Circle in the future.

Zelie turns 1!

It was quite a busy morning at our monthly breakfast today with one of our youngest members turning 1 year old! Congratulations Zelie and Amelie! We also had info from Dizzy Dress agent Anne on her recently released style of dresses, and Claire from the Consulat General de France a Wuhan letting us know about the exciting upcoming French Festival being held all over China with some events also in Wuhan (more info will follow). Pics can be found in the Gallery under Breakfast Pics. Thanks again to all the ladies who helped brainstorm for the Fun Fair – slowly but surely the event is taking shape ;)

April Breakfast

Paperless Post invites for this Thursday’s breakfast are now out! Please RSVP directly to these by Tuesday evening, and if you didn’t receive an invite, you can RSVP to info@womenofwuhan.com. During breakfast we will also have another brainstorming session and follow-up for the upcoming International Fun Fair – so bring your thinking caps! See you there ;)

Cherry Tree Appreciation

For those who couldn’t make it to Hanami today – you seriously missed out on amazing obentos! Thank you to the fabulous chefs at Holiday Inn Riverside who put together the wonderful Japanese Lunch Boxes!! Pics are up in the Gallery under Activity Pics – and well – you may notice that there are no actual pics of cherry blossoms as such – (the season was a tad early this year!) there was still a whole lot of cherry tree and lawn appreciation going on :)

Easter Brunch Pics

Pics are now up in the Gallery under Lunch Pics from today’s Easter BubbAlicious Brunch at The Westin Wuchang :) A big WELCOME to all the new comers! I think there were nearly as many new comers as there were regulars! Great to see :) Hope you all enjoyed today and we will see you at another activity. Have a good week!

March Breakfast Pics

Wow, so many women at the breakfast there today!! As always a relaxed but active & chatty atmosphere – hope everybody enjoyed it as much as I did! Did everybody also had a try on the sewing machine to participate on the WOW-quilt? ;-) Thanks to Lexy & Ines for this opportunity! We even had Wanda with us today – via Skype but still, isn’t it great to let people participate from so far away? :-) So, enjoy checking out the pictures now in the Gallery under breakfast pics!
