Bidding battles begin!

I am very excited to share with you the finished quilt made by our WOW Quilting Bee. I’m extremely proud of the ladies who, since January have worked on piecing this quilt together. The quilt measures approximately 2m by 1.5m and will be silent auctioned off at the International Charity Fun Fair on May 26th! All proceeds will go to the Wuhan Aids Charity. Thanks to all the ladies who participated in sewing a patch! This weekend you’ll get to preview the quilt at the Fish n’ Chips luncheon! For those wishing to bid – you can write your bid on the sheet of paper that will be at the fair. We are also taking bids before May 26th by email – mail@alexandraconrad.com. At 5pm on May 26th, the highest listed bidder wins. Let the bidding battles begin!!

Family Circle Debut

We’re very pleased to announce a joint project by local mothers Stella & Emily and WOW to create a family activity group called Family Circle which aims to encourage foreign and local families to get to know each other and enjoy interesting activities together :) The first activity will be a very informal picnic at Jiefang Park this Sunday giving everyone a chance to meet each other. Please RSVP via your Paperless Post invites, or email info@womenofwuhan to get your name on our mailing list. We hope this will be the first of many Family Circle events :)

Meet the Recipients Day

Paperless Post invites have also been sent out for the upcoming Meet the Recipients Day being held on April 20th. There are only 15 spaces available for this opportunity, so please make sure you RSVP immediately if you wish to attend. This is a great chance for you to meet Professor Gui and some of the recipients of the charity which you all help contribute to by attending the breakfasts, fair and Dinner Dance :)
